MEDWAY TOWN FC

Creche

Introduction

My names colin Liscoe and I run the creche at Medway Town, with the help of other managers, Sean Woodrow, Josh Edwards and a lot of young volunteers including my kids Ruan and Lenè, we also have other helpers who are volunteering as part of their Duke of Edinburgh scheme .

The creche is basically for any boy or girl from the ages of 3 up to 6 years old to start their football journey within Medway Town, over the last 4 years we have successfully created 12 teams from our creche, raging from under 7’s to our under 10’s .

I’m a manager of our under 9’s, and I have at least 6 players in my team who started from our creche at 3-4 years old and are still enjoying their football now .

Thats why our creche is so important for the future of Medway Town, we get to see these players start a journey at 3 years old and teach them the basics of football, but more importantly teach them what’s its like to be part of team. They stay in our creche until they turn 6, then we place them into the coming seasons under 7’s and watch them start playing games against other teams.

Without our incredible volunteers creche wouldn’t exist, that’s why it’s so important to have as many helpers as we do, to help each child learn and develop at their own pace , we can also offer 1 on 1 training if needed .

So if your 3 years old is looking to start playing football, then come along to Rainham Mark school , Pump Lane ME8 7AJ every Saturday morning 9.15am , we would love to see you there.
